HomeESL – Foundation Program
English is the language of instruction at AEA. If your first language is not English, you must submit proof of English Proficiency as stated in the admissions section and Additional requirements specified for each program. The Admission Committee may require proof of English language proficiency from applicants who attended English language-based education systems if the Committee sees deficiencies in language proficiency when the application package is reviewed.
Proof of English Level is mandatory to start studying with the AEA.
If the doesn’t has a valid English Level assessment, noting more is required, he will follow the regular application process.
If the student doesn’t have proof of English level, such as TOEFL, IELTS, or a Diploma from an American / British, or Canadian school, the AEA will require them to attend an English Placement Test. If the student passes, he will proceed with the program. If not, the student must take an English course and reassess his English level.
English language test scores are valid for 1 year from the test date, or 2 years if it is a Diploma from an English Speaking school.
Once the English Level is determined (and does not meet the criteria to study for the chosen diploma), students can learn English with the American European Academy to reach the desired level.
Based on the language proficiency (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) according to the CEFR scale, the student will need to take 1, 2, 3, or 4 months of English courses.
Each English course has a fee of 99$ per month, which includes 4 online classes a week adapted to your level.
Students can take the placement test at the end of each month to evaluate their level for free. Once they have reached a C1 or C2 level, they will proceed with the last step of the registration fee to start studying for the diploma of their choice.
